FYI, the PEW Internet and American Life Project, put out an intersting 
report a few days ago based on a survey of how folks use tech/internet.

It proposes a 'typology' for classifying users of web technologies. For 
example:



I think I'm a Lackluster Veteran but not entirely by choice.  I find the 
costs (both time&$$) of ICT stuff keeps me from jumping in whole hog; 
the 'less avid about cell phones' describes me well.

It'd be interesting to see where our ABE population would end up on this 
chart.  I'm guessing Mobile Centrics on down.  That is, lots of cell 
phone use and some internet use, but not much access. Interest yes, 
access no.
