[SSCs-Counselors] problems we're seeing

We are finding the same problem with our younger GED students who are not 
focused and are disruptive to the more serious older student. Our plan at this 
time is to pull these students out of class (on a single night-an hour) and form 
an informal focus group so that we may gather information regarding their 
motivation in attending the program as well as their expectations. I believe the 
younger students are more ready for the exam, but lack direction and realistic 
goals.It also appears that it is this group who expects immediate 
gratification-a GED right away. Not so much the older students who have been away from 
the academic world for awhile.  I also believe that the younger students are 
being told incorrect information from parents and guidance offices. It behooves 
us to be in communication with all the area High Schools for better information 
dissemination.I will certainly share any pearls of wisdom once garnered from
