[Sabeswest] Good workshop

On June 6 (10 - 1:00), SABES will be offering a workshop on Integrating Workplace Issues into your ESOL Classroom.

This workshop covers Beginning-level ESOL classes to more Advanced,  and helps teachers "do something" with all of the work-related issues that students bring with them to class.

The presenter, Richard Goldberg, from the Asian American Civic Association, has developed useful, hands-on classroom activities out of his students' concerns about:  communicating/negotiating with their supervisors, customers and co-workers; knowing their rights in the workplace; trying to work their ways up career ladders; and generally navigating the workplace.

Richard is a great presenter and this workshop comes highly recommended.  Please see the attached flyer for more info...
