Saludos colleagues and friends,

I hope all is as well as can be.  I know many of us are still in shock over Karen Morgan's {of HALO Center} death.  She will be very much missed by all of us.

I wanted to let everyone know that for a variety of reasons,  including my having to take leave for 4-6 weeks as of Monday, Robin Hodgkinson of Community Education Project and I have decided to cancel the summer semester of the ABE/College Transition Program.  We will be up and running at full speed and quality for the Fall 08 Semester.

In fact, it's looking like we will be running an evening and day program by Spring, as well as launching our College Awareness/Readiness program in ABE classrooms.

I wish you all a great June and hope to be in touch soon.  If you have any questions after Friday, please feel free to contact Robin at 538 5770 or Ceil Breor {the secretary of my dept at HCC) or Deborah Levenson, my colleague, who runs the New Directions program for single mothers, vets and women over 24.  They will be helping to field calls in my absence and can both be reached at 552 2346.
