Hi,
One of the morning events on April 5th's Unpacking Transitions day will
be a presentation by Gloria Cross Mwase of Jobs For the Future, entitled
Breaking Through -- Helping Low-Skilled Adults Enter and Succeed in
College and Careers . Breaking Through is a multi-year demonstration
project, which promotes and enhances the efforts of community colleges
to help low-literacy adults prepare for and succeed in occupational and
technical degree programs. Last December, at the Department of
Education's Chasing the American Dream conference on ABE and workforce
development, Breaking Through was the key presentation which kicked off
the entire conference. SABES West is happy to host it here at Holyoke
Community College.
