GET HELP, GIVE HELP: A Dropout Prevention Video is a compelling video about
the reasons some teenagers drop out of high school.  It illuminates the
magnitude of the problem of dropouts in our society and outlines what
struggling students and those around them can do to support continued
education. 

GET HELP, GIVE HELP is an original video researched, written, produced and
directed by a group of area high school-aged teenagers during a weeklong
workshop at Holyoke Community College in June.  It presents the story of
three teenagers negotiating the demands of high school.  In the video the
characters attempt to balance their individual personal challenges with
academic demands.  These powerful stories raise critical questions about
societal and educational reforms.

The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the
video’s creators. Refreshments provided. 

The screening will be held at Hampshire Educational Collaborative, 97 Hawley
Street, Northampton, MA  01060.
