The Literacy Project seeks an Executive Director to help this vigorous non-profit organization take fuller advantage of its wealth of energies and assets. We wish to broaden our offerings and outreach, strengthen and expand our connections with the communities we serve, and establish a more diversified funding base that will sustain our ambitions.

 

With a $1.1M budget, five adult learning centers, a distance learning program, and a staff of 23, The Literacy Project is the largest provider of ABE and GED services in western Massachusetts, supplementing formal classroom instruction with volunteer support and transitions counseling.  

A unique presence in the ABE field for over 20 years, TLP is now taking on new goals and challenges. With a newly-expanded and active Board and a deeply engaged and dedicated staff, the Agency desires a commensurately energetic and committed but also flexible leadership that is responsive both to internal needs and to the shifting challenges of the non-profit world.

Starting date is mid-March. Starting salary range is low to mid-sixties, depending on experience, with a review in six months.  In addition, we offer an excellent benefit package.  Hours are as necessary in a professional leadership position. 

 

CORI and MA driver's license are required.
