Citizenship:  The Test and What ESOL Teachers and Learners (and other interested people) Need to Know

    This workshop will be held twice:

        Friday, March 2, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pittsfield Adult Learning Center, Pittsfield
                (The Pittsfield workshop is being held in collaboration with The Berkshire Immigrant Center and with the support of The Pittsfield Adult Learning Center.)

        Friday, April 27, 2007 from 9:30 to 12:30 at HCC, Room G221

Do you:

  a.. have students who are preparing for the U.S. Citizenship Test? 
  b.. want to know how to make sure they'll pass? 
  c.. need a preview of soon-to-be-implemented changes to the test?
 This workshop will give you an overview of the naturalization test and offer details on the content, format and standards and procedures for the test and the interview.  The presenter will share strategies, activities and materials for making sure that students succeed in this high-stakes (and potentially life-changing) encounter.   Participants will also get an overview of forthcoming changes to the test and the expected implementation schedule for these changes.
