*Part Time GED instructor needed *

_General Description:_
Flexible, creative, and dedicated educator needed to teach basic 
academic skills to adults in the HCC Adult Learning Center located at 
CareerPoint in Holyoke.
Requirements:

    * BA required or 3-5 years teaching experience
    * Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching in ABE
      (Adult Basic Education) or high school teaching experience
    * Able to teach beginner algebra and geometry
    * Able to comfortably work with a diverse population
    * Patient, learner-centered philosophy
    * Organized and committed to adult education
    * Able to teach in a classroom of 12-14
    * Computer skills required
    * Bi-cultural, bi-lingual a plus
    * Flexible, open, and sense of humor

_Responsibilities:_

    1) Plan and implement 2 classes per week, (7 hours teaching, 3.5
    hours preparation time) at the GED level in compliance with the
    Massachusetts ABE Curriculum Frameworks.
    2) Conduct ongoing assessments of learners
    3) Maintain individual student learner logs
    4) Meet with program coordinator on a weekly basis
    5) Attend mandatory trainings and professional development
    6) Other duties as assigned

    HCC Adult Learning Center Coordinator


_About the Position:_

    * Tuesday and Thursday evenings
    * 10.5 hours per week / $22.83 per hour
    * Professional Development Support
    * Tutors provided for classroom assistance
