[Sabeswest] GED workshops

Tom Mechem, the GED State Chief Examiner, will be coming to HCC on Friday, February 9, 2007 to present two workshops.

The morning workshop will be from 10 - 12 and will be on GED Accomodations ("Navigating the GED Special Accomodations Process").
This is intended for anyone working with, advocating for, teaching or counseling GED candidates with disabilities.

The afternoon workshop is from 1-4 p.m. and will focus on the areas of the test students have been having trouble with, with a special emphasis on the math test ("How Can We Get More People to Pass the GED Tests?").  It is based on research that has shown what is most often missed on the GED tests.
