College for a Day is back!
    Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Classes this year include:  "The Real CSI:  Analyzing Hair and Textile Evidence," "Merchants of Cool," "Blood, Guts, and All that other Stuff," "ESOL Sampler in Listening and Speaking," and more!  

Brochures are being mailed out today (Tuesday, February 13).  If your program hasn't received one by next Tuesday, please let me know directly and we will send out a new one.  Registration brochures are being mailed to programs; individual teachers may make copies of the registration forms to fax or mail back in.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; there is no guarantee that students will get their first choice (or even their second, in some cases).  The form is not available electronically.

Please note some changes this year:
    *Due to the popularity of this event and the limited number of registrants we are able to accept, we are limiting the number of people that can register from each program.  Each program can register 15 people; those with multiple program sites can register 10 from each program site.  
    *There will be tables set up from 11:30 - 1:30 with various support and other services from the campus on hand to talk to students and teachers.  This will occur outside the cafeteria area.  More information on this will be available the day of the event.
    *There will not be a raffle during lunch this year.

Last year we had a large waiting list that we were unable to invite to attend.  On the actual day of the event, there was a 30% no show rate of students.  Please try to be sure that when students register, they can attend and, if you know ahead of time that someone can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible!  Thanks!  This will help make this event available to as many people as possible as well as help us gauge the food needs more accurately.
