[Sabeswest] Writing Group - This I Believe

Take some time out of your busy work life to explore creative writing, both for you and your students!

Please join us for a reflective writing workshop that utlizes text and online resources of the NPR series, "This I Believe" as its inspiration.  (www.thisiblieve.org).  This workshop is for anyone:  ABE, GED, ESOL, beginning teacher or seasoned veteran who wishes to explore their own beliefs and who wants to bring this practice to their classroom.  It is also a great opportunity for any teacher who simply wants some time to do their own writing!

Presenter Glenn Yarnell has successfully used these materials in ESOL, Beginning Literacy and GED classes.  A copy of the book, "This I Believe," edited by Jay Allison, will be given to the first ten programs that sign up.    

Please bring your own food as we will work through lunch.

When:  Friday, March 23, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where:  Holyoke Community College, Kittredge Center, Room 302.  Park in Lots E or D.
