Disabilties Sharing Group

This group is for anyone (teachers, counselors, administrators) with an interest in disabilities to come together to share and learn from one another.  The group will focus on learning disabilities as well as other types of disabilities that practitioners may encounter in their students.  There will be an opportunity to hear what issues programs are dealing with in terms of disabilities and share strategies.  The group will also talk about what specific areas they would like to focus on in the future.  The facilitator is Pennie Marcus from Holyoke Community College's Office for Students with Disabilities and Deaf Services. She is on sabbatical for the spring semester and will be working with SABES and local ABE programs on issues of disabilities.  In addition to her work at HCC, she is a former ABE program director.

Date:  January 25, 2008 from 1-3 p.m. at HCC
