1.  COUNTABLE OUTCOMES:  What gets counted counts!



This participatory workshop is designed to help ABE TEACHERS, COUNSELORS and DIRECTORS understand and implement the MA DOE's Countable Outcomes policy so that student goals remain the centerpiece of ABE in Massachusetts.  It is strongly recommended that two or more people from a program attend this workshop together (e.g., a Counselor and a Teacher, or a Counselor and a Director) so that student goals and outcomes can be considered on a program wide basis.

2.  GOAL SETTING IN THE CLASSROOM



Setting effective, realistic and attainable student goals should be at the center of every ABE and ESOL program.  This workshop

provides practitioners with hands-on opportunities to learn how  to integrate student goals throughout their programs, with a focus on classroom practice.


In order to get the most out of this workshop, it is strongly recommended that you be familiar with the MA DOE Countable Outcomes policy.
