Come on Friday, December 14 and enjoy some mindful moments!

Mindful Moments for Educators

No question about it: Stress is part of our lives and our students' lives. And stress causes everything from headaches to heart problems.

This workshop, for ABE/ESOL educators, will offer practical, down-to-earth ideas for bringing mindfulness, relaxation and intention into our daily lives. Participants will learn quick, easy ways to reduce stress and increase joy and focus both within and outside of the classroom. While the focus will be on our own lives at work and at home, we will also discuss ways to share these strategies with students.

Friday, December 14, 2007 from 10-12:30 at Holyoke Community College, Kittredge Center, Room 302.

About the workshop facilitator: Tzivia Gover is the author of Mindful Moments for Stressful Days: Simple Ways to Find Meaning and Joy in Daily Life. She teaches workshops on writing and mindfulness to educators and students in ABE/ESOL settings. She also teaches poetry to students at the CARE Center.
