Don't forget that the deadline for "Teacher to Teacher:  Exploring Math" is October 13.  Flyers and applicataions were sent to all programs and are available at our events.  (If you want a copy, contact me directly.)

This is a great opportunity to explore math and math teaching in a community of colleagues, over a period of time (November - March).  Each month, you will come together for three hours to examine math areas determined by participants and to share what you have tried from the previous month's work.  All the work will be aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and professional development standards for math.  

 Recent statistics show that in Massachusetts, 51% of those student who failed the GED test did so because of the math section!  Take advantage of this great opportunity to increase your own awareness of math issues and math teaching! 

This group is intended for all levels of math instructors and will be facilitated by two practitioners who are members of the statewide math team (Michelle Brown and Jim Rathschmidt).
