EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

The Literacy Project (TLP) is seeking a leader who can take a vigorous non-profit organization to a new level by bringing the right blend of drive, business experience and an appreciation of what has made TLP a unique presence in the adult basic education field for over twenty years. 

 

TLP is the largest provider of ABE and GED services in Western MA with a $1.1M budget and five Adult Learning Centers in Franklin and Hampshire Counties. Transitions, Distance Learning and Volunteer Programs augment classroom instruction.

 

Continuing to build on its history of leadership, TLP is actively re-inventing itself. With a highly participatory staff and an active Board of Directors, TLP requires a leader who can:



§          Exercise visionary financial leadership, with a view to ensuring long-term sustainability, a diversified funding base and social enterprise business development



§          Develop and promote the TLP brand and ensure high visibility and effective networks locally, regionally and nationally
 

§          Maintain a work environment that provides effective services to learners and a high quality of work life for employees



§          Lead with a flexible and responsive style, promoting productive relationships among the Agency’s constituencies.
