[Sabeswest] New Technology Coordinator / SABES West

So now it's official ... Charlie Herbert has accepted the 
position as the Technology Coordinator for the SABES 
West Regional Support Center.

Charlie brings a variety of skills, experiences and 
values to this role including his familiarity with the
SABES mission, four years of ABE classroom and 
management experience and a great track record 
of responding to ABE learner's needs with knowledge 
and humor.

On the tech side of his resume Charlie earned an AAS
in Computer Programming and Analysis in 1996 and a
Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Oberlin College 
in Ohio in 1998. He has also been a key member of the 
SABES Integrating Tech committee and his knowledge 
of COGNOS and other data sources has profitted many
a community partnership. Charlie has designed and 
maintained educational and research databases and his 
skills in the most current computer applications and 
hardware/software troubleshooting leave his office mates 
slackjawed.

Charlie has led the SABES West efforts in WorkForce 
Development, Community Planning and Organizational 
Development for the past two plus years so many of you
are familiar with him in this role. We're confident that he'll 
provide similar strong support in the areas of SMARTT,
Cognos and integrating technology tools in his new position
