Learning Disabilities: The Basics

This workshop will provide an overview of the different types of learning
disabilities that may be manifested in the ABE classroom. Throughout the
workshop, participants will get an opportunity to experience a simulation of
some of the Learning Disabilities presented. There will also be exploration
of LD screening tools and discussion of LD appropriate instruction via a
variety of activities. This workshop is designed for those who would like a
good foundation in learning disabilities. It is based on both the YALD
Learning Disabilities Awareness workshop from several years ago and the
Bridges to Practice training.
