I echo Jose's enthusiasm for collaborative work and coalitions. The
efficiencies that working together bring to a community are many and what
people can learn from each other is enormous. The sum is indeed greater
than its parts.

In the interest of building a stronger advocacy voice and of sharing the
coalition-building expertise that we have developed, the National Alliance
of Urban Literacy Coalitions is inviting representatives from state and
rural coalitions to attend the first two days of our Annual Meeting in
Washington, Thursday and Friday, March 6th and 7th. Please see our website
for further details (www.naulc.org), and contact me via phone or e-mail if
you fall into this category and haven't gotten an invitation in the mail.
For those who have gotten an invitation, may I reiterate it here. Please
join us!

  Best regards,
  Edith Gower, Executive Director
