I also appreciated Tom's list of literacy leadership organizations.  I want 
to add VALUE, the national adult learners organization.  I believe they are 
poised to offer our field a new and vital kind of leadership, the voice of 
adult learners on how we can improve recruitment, retention, and learning.  
They can also help us address diversity issues--their board is effortlessly 
multicultural and multiracial and full of women!  I hope all list readers 
will become members of VALUE, and stay informed on how VALUE can help us 
foster learner leadership and better literacy learning experiences.  Debby
