Colleagues,

I do apologize to the list for my completely unnecessary combative tone in my 
last post about research, I can only excuse it by pleading extreme fatigue.

Of course research can encompass practitioner feelings and various kinds of 
partitioner knowledge, the problem is to find a way to do this that is true 
to the feelings yet puts them in a form where they are accessible and useful 
to policymakers.
