Our newest State Policy Update, Professional Development for Adult Education
Instructors, is now available on our web site at

site you can select either the PDF or HTML format.

This State Policy Update provides a background on professional development
in adult education, summarizes the funding sources for professional
development, and reviews data collected from the August 2001 National
Institute for Literacy survey of state professional development systems.  In
addition, the report highlights professional development activities in four
states -- Kentucky, New York, Oregon, and Tennessee -- and describes current
and upcoming federally-funded professional development initiatives and
research projects.
