[NLA] Omnibus Literacy Legislation

David et al,
The discussion which took place at the Coalition meeting on Dec. 13. re: the Omnibus legislation, was lively and very frank...Most of the issues which have been raised here at one time or another were part of the discussion. I would echo your suggestion that members of this list react and respond to this proposed legislation. This has now become a national dialogue and everyone shouyld have a voice. There are only a few days left before the legislation will be in a final form but the discussion must go on. Remember, as legislation proceeds through the various "steps" many changes can occur. Jon Randall did a marvelous job in guiding the coalition through the draft. Thank you< David for posting it for the members of this list. Jay
