[NLA] Re: Tom's Note: Teaching is Reaching

Tom notes that NIFL and NCSALL research has resulted in an overwhelming 
528,000 new dimensions of learning, and he has not even considered adult 
education theory.  Adult education theory is sometimes divided into 
progressive, humanist, liberal and transformative traditions and each has 
at least 5 prescriptions for practice.  This results in 10,560,000 
dimensions for learning, and we have not even considered relevant 
dimensions of learning from psychology and sociology.  What's the point? Is 
it that knowing too much confuses teachers, and that therefore, it's better 
they be ignorant.
