David:
Thank you for your many years of unwavering service to helping the adult
literacy field grow through the NLA list. Thank you, especially, for so
often being the voice of wisdom for so many of us. I doubt that you are
fully aware of your influence throughout the field and how much we have all
learned from you through the NLA! We are indebted to you for your many
contributions, for your caring and your efforts to move our field forward,
for your probing and questioning and encouraging us to think, and for your
willingness, always, to share your knowledge and resources. I feel
compelled to publicly offer thanks and best wishes to you on the listserv
that you founded because your contributions have been truly
extraordinary--and they need to be acknowledged publicly. Although you will
move on from your role as NLA list moderator, we WILL continue to work with
you in your capacity as adult education consultant--and there will be
numerous efforts in which you undoubtedly will be asked to continue to share
your wisdom!
Best wishes and heartfelt thanks.
