NCL_Update Broadcast List - Subscribe Now

The National Coalition for Literacy (NCL) invites adult
literacy advocates to subscribe to an irregular broadcast
NCL_Update email list. This list is one of the first new
activities of the recently incorporated Coalition and is
made possible by the American Association for Adult and
Continuing Education (AAACE), a NCL member organization.

As a 501c(3)the Coalition will work to educate and inform
its members and the general public about major issues,
including public policy, which impact adult education and
literacy in the U.S. The Coalition will also work to
increase understanding of adult literacy and English
language development and foster collaboration at the
national level among public and private organizations
promoting adult literacy and English language development.

To help accomplish these goals the NCL_Update email list
will broadcast information updates and alerts as events
warrant. This is not a discussion list. This broadcast list
will provide federal literacy policy updates and other
national information on adult literacy and recommend
grassroots advocacy action sanctioned by the voting members
of the National Coalition for Literacy.

The vast majority of the information and recommendations
broadcast on this list will represent the consensus of the
NCL association members.  Recommendations that do not enjoy
unanimous support will be so noted.  Questions, advocacy
feedback and potential update items should be emailed to Jon
Randall, NCL Public Policy Committee Chair.
