Dear Colleagues:

Please keep in mind that there are plenty of studies that suggest the 
educational level of the primary caregiver is an important predictor of their 
child's academic success. However, I have not seen anything that shows that 
raising the educational level of the parent will have any immediate effect on 
the child. One researcher that I talked to about this says that the jury is 
still out on this one.
