[NLA] Question: Advocacy on House Welfare Bill?

H.R. 4, the Personal Responsibility, Work and Family
Promotion Act of 2003 (reauthorization of welfare reform) is
due to be considered today by the House. Since putting out
the urgent alert on Monday, there's been no feedback on
calls made by constituents of moderates and new House
members on the list included in the alert.

Surely, there are NLA subscribers who's Congresspersons are
on the list. Did you call? Did you speak to the staffer in
charge of welfare?

H.R.4  is going to hurt adult education and we can't count
on the Senate to save our butts this year! If you haven't
called, CALL NOW!
