I am going to make this really simple because it is late and I think I can
make it simple anyway.
When I say "phonemic awareness" and say that teachers should be trained in it
I am not saying that is all the argument, I am not limiting it, I am
****only****saying train teachers in phonemic awarenes. Coach them? Fine,
decide what works best--but look at the obverse,****don't****teach teachers
phonemic awareness? Makes no sense whatsoever.
Credentialing? How many volunteer program managers would like to have more
knowledge? Be able to better help their students? Educate their volunteers?
The real problem is lack of money to do the credentialing.
This is all I can write now--chew it over.
