There's still time to move more names from the lower list to the upper list!
Who'd have bet New York literacy advocates would be the first to deliver
both Senators?! (I thought Massachusetts would be first.) Which additional
states' advocates are going to join those from New York with two stars on
the Honor Roll?
Mallory in Senator Breaux's office is willing to keep the letter going until
sometime after Thanksgiving. She'll be out of the office all next week but
her voice mail to staffers from other Senators will say that they're still
collecting signatures and for them to leave a message and she'll get back to
them the following week.
Many staffers may take the week off, but please keep trying periodically.
Most staffers should be back in the office on 12/2. In order for their
bosses to hit the ground running on Jan. 8th, staff will be hard at work
between the holidays.
Please remember, our goal for this letter is 30 co-signers in the Senate!
Keep up the good work!
Jon
