The UK's Basic Skills Magazine

The Basic Skills Agency in the United Kingdom is publishing a series of
articles entitled Tom Sticht's VIEW FROM AMERICA in its Basic Skills
magazine which appears three times a year. The latest edition of Basic
Skills (March 2002) is now available online at the Basic Skills Agency's
web site: www.basic-skills.co.uk and includes my latest article entitled
Adult Basic Skills - How many need it? How many want it? The July 2001
and October 2001 issues also contain articles in my VIEW FROM AMERICA
series.

The Basic Skills magazine also includes many other articles that should
be of interest to U.S. adult educators and advocates. As suggested
above, there is an archive of earlier editions of the Basic Skills
magazine that provide interesting articles on reading, numeracy and
issues about the delivery of basic skills instruction that should be of
general interest to adult educators and advocates. 

The Basic Skills Agency's web site also includes numerous other
resources for adult educators and advocates.
