I was really tickled by your reply!
I mentioned "off list" because I felt the definitions of "superb literacy
programs" might be wildly different, and I *didn't* want consensus, but
people speaking from their private selves. Also, my question is not aimed at
vision, but at the here and now.
Perhaps different people would reply in different ways.
Art's thinking finally penetrated my bean, and I thought, Gee, if our high
schools are so misreable, and we get high school dropouts, do we just create
more misery, or are there some superb programs out there?
