[NLA] Practitioner research - Just do it!

Art,

I sure would like to pin these numbers down a little more.  Can anybody do 
this?  Without a fracas?  A consensus?

Well, if high school were a corporation... it would have gone broke a long 
time ago.  When you have inputs, resources, the way Art describes, and 
instead of growth you have decline... and fewer outputs are the result, well, 
it is a strange system.

Aren't these numbers different in different areas of the country?

Anyway, this is a sidebar to the larger conversation, which is still 
improving the education of adult lit students, reaching more students, and 
developing better programs.

By the way, I am very interested if anyone on the list knows of truly superb 
adult lit programs.  You decide what truly superb means.  If you know of any 
such, please contact me off the list, and thank you!!!
