[NLA] Re: LLA and LVA, Federal Policy Work (long?)

Dear Jon,

My eyes are bugging out with all the time I have spent today (and yesterday) 
on the nla.  You are very generous with your time and I appreciate the email.

What I haven't been able to understand is why the federal effort on adult 
literacy didn't go through two obviously viable and well-regarded 
organizations.  I guess this was the choice some may now regret.  However, it 
looks as though you have done something valuable in a grassroots way, and 
that is very interesting.

12 years?  Good heavens, you deserve a medal.
