I'd like to ask Jon Randall, as Public Policy Chair of the Coalition, to
post a brief outline of what he suggests I tell my congressman when I see
him. I found out today that my Congressman, Joe Wilson (who replaced the
deceased Floyd Spence) is in town, as he attended my Rotary meeting.

>From Jon:
> **We all talk the TALK of literacy policy on the NLA but to what extent
do we walk the WALK of advocacy with our federal legislators? As in my
previous posting, THIS IS NOT A RHETORICAL QUESTION.**....

> I'm advocating that we use this list to begin helping each other overcome
the reluctance to extend that invitation, schedule that meeting, make that
call, or write that letter. Participation on the NLA shows we have the time
to do these things -- things that can make a big difference in our
near-term future!"
