[NLA] Re: Andy Hartman's Proposal

Yesterday, I sent an email to Andy asking him to discuss his proposal by phone with the NCL Public Policy Committee. As this is a holdiay weekend, he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I have been unable to poll NCL members individually, also due to the holiday no doubt.

If the field is to speak with one voice regarding Andy's proposal, I would really like the representatives of the national organizations to share their views on this issue. We will try to do this quickly (next week) as there is already an appropriations action alert out in the field.

New good ideas often come on their own timetable, unfortunately. Andy posted his proposal less than 8 hours AFTER the NCL Public Policy Committee held its July conference call and released the appropriations alert.
