[NLA] National Literacy Day?

Really??? I didn't know this either!!!
Isn't congress still in session? Seems like we should celebrate a day
when legislators are in their home states so we can get 'em out to our projects.
At first I thought International Literacy Day, September 8, might be a
good day to celebrate because it is the same week as Labor Day.
Evidently legislators are usually home in any week that contains a
federal holiday.
But this year International Literacy Day falls on a Sunday. Sunday is
not good for celebrating, and too far away from Labor Day which is the
previous Monday.
Shucks.
