I've heard that, too. I also e-mailed Senator Dodd's office a couple weeks ago, but received nothing by way of reply, not even a form response from an aide. Neither have I received a reply from my Congressional Representative, whom I sent a letter requesting his attendance at the 2-7 meeting even though he and I I grew up in the same town and even though I was the Executive Director for two years of a literacy program in a building named after his mother.

Subject: [NLA] Advocacy tip to reach Congresspeople

While speaking with a staffer at Senator Dodd's office reagarding the response his office has received regarding NIFL nominees (minimal), he informed me that the mail has been held up considerably because of new procedures to eridicate anthrax and such.
He said phone calls and emails would be better venues to communicate concerns.
Has anyone heard anything similar?
