[NLA] Celebrating 35 years of the AELS

NLA Colleagues:

In an earlier post I noted that at the end of Fiscal Year 2002 we would
complete 35 years of the AELS. Several astute members of the NLA list
sent me messages letting me know that that was a mistake. Actually, we
completed 35 years of the AELS at the end of last Fiscal Year (October
31, 2001). But since no one celebrated 35 years of the AELS last year,
then during this year any one who wants to can join me in celebrating
the 35 years of the AELS that ended in October of 2001!

As part of this celebration, I increased my offer of four free keynote
presentations to six from out of state and one in state to meet the
heavy demand, but that offer is now closed. My apologies to all those I
could not accommodate because of my other commitments during the year.
Later, with permission from the various sponsors,  I'll post a list of
dates, locations and persons to contact throughout the U.S. where these
presentations will take place in case anyone wants to attend one of the
meetings to say hello. Thanks to all those who contacted me to celebrate
35 years of the AELS! 

I'm looking forward to meeting a good number of the NLA list members in
person in the coming year!
