Special Offer to Celebrate the AELS
To celebrate 35 years of the Adult Education and Literacy System (AELS)
of the United States I am offering up to four free keynote presentations
at national, regional, or state conferences on adult education and
literacy development. Sponsors will pay only the costs of travel and
accommodations.
In 2001 I did fee-based keynote speeches and other presentations on
adult basic skills education in England, Wales, Canada (Saskatchewan,
Manitoba), New Zealand, and the USA (Florida, Idaho, New York, Ohio,
Tennessee). Among the titles of keynote speeches are:
A Lifetime in Adult Basic Skills: Some Lessons Learned
The POWER of Adult Education: Moving From
the Margins to the Mainstream of Education
Functional Context Education: A Research-Based
Approach to Adult Basic Skills Education
Reforming Adult Literacy Education: International Perspectives
Teaching Reading With Adults: Science-Based Concepts and Practices
The Rise of the Adult Education and Literacy System of the United
States: A Perspective Across Four Centuries of U. S. History
All presentations include implications for advocacy, policy, and
practice, and many sponsors have used the presentations to attract media
attention for advocacy purposes.
This offer is made on a first come basis, so potential sponsors
should contact me as soon as possible.
