Many adult education teachers, although not enough!, are unionized.  In New 
York City, ofr exmaple, teachers who work for the Board of Education have 
their own UFT chapter, as do teachers at the Consortium for Worker Education. 
 Adult education full-timers who work in libraries are , I believe, part of 
District Council 27 of AFSCME in NYC.  DD
