In President Bush's "No Child Left Behind" plan, starting in January 2003, anyone hired as a "Title I paraprofessional will have to meet one of three standards: pass a state or local assessment designed to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to assist in, instruction in reading, writing and math or reading readiness, writing readiness and math readiness; complete two years of college; or hold a two-year degree."

Our school district is looking for some form of assessment. Are any of you aware of any specific tests that are being used by adult educators to assess paraprofessionals' skills? Thanks for the help! NP =)
