Andrea, et al: I am not sure that I agree or disagree, However, I feel that
the language that you are using may not represent what literacy is all about.
I think that our task is to: (1) help adults to improve language
communication skills to fully participate in all aspects of family,
education, vocation and community life, rather than (2)preparing adults to
read and write better.
My questions to you and everyone else are:
1. do these things mean the same?
2. what are the differences between your statement and mine?
Once we understand what we mean, we can discuss what we need to measure.
