Hello,

For those of us living in California, this resource may prove useful.

California Literacy recently added CapWiz 6.0 to our website,
www.caliteracy.org. CapWiz gives you the latest information on adult
education issues, locates your federal and state representatives, and helps
you draft an email or letter that lets them know how you feel.

Just click on the "Advocacy" link on our website to use this exciting
feature.

Find your Legislators by entering your ZIP code in the box next to "Elected
Officials", and pressing "Go".

Get information on California's Senators and Representatives by clicking on
"Congressional Delegation".

Search for current elected officials in the California State Legislature by
clicking on "CA State Legislature".

Read Legislative Alerts and Updates by clicking on "Issues and
Legislation". In this section, you can also learn more about communicating
with Members and access general information about the legislative process.

A highlight of the CapWiz section of our website is the ability to send
email messages directly to your legislators. In these easy steps, you'll
take an active role in shaping adult education in California!

Click on "Issues & Legislation".
Press the "Legislative Alerts & Updates" button.
Click on "State" or "Federal" to access a specific bill.
Fill in your Zip Code in the "Take Action Now" box.
Write your own email, or sign an email we have already composed with the
relevant information.
