Harry,

It seems to me by reading emails that both Catherine and Tom explain and try 
to  accommodate and understand each other's vocabulary.  They do speak from 
different contexts, but so do we all. You speak about the "little man" in a 
general way, but I don't think people are little in the sense you mean, and 
they aren't all men.
