[NLA] How to Work Effectively with the Media

Hello Andrea:

Our notes crossed; but "return on investment"
means many things to many people. My point is
that (1) we cannot assume what we mean by it
is what others mean by it and (2) it has a long
history of meaning purely economic concerns
unconnected with the broader community
meaning we might assign to it, and in fact, opposed
to those meanings. Education has an economic
base, but if seen in only economic terms, it
becomes a tool for anything but democracy and
development of adults.

Regards,

Catherine King
