NLA Discussion: AELS Budget

Thank you, Art Ellison, for your forthright statement:

"We should not need to rely on "a quiet, behind the scenes, powerhouse". We
need a President who believes in and acts on this issue from the perspective
of equality and justice for everyone."

It is worth remembering that between votes for Gore and Nader, the majority 
of Americans said clearly that they wanted a president who was left of 
center, and would make the social investments identified with that viewpoint.

Maybe our effort should be directed at Congressional elections--2002 is just 
around the corner.
