4. An NLA subscriber has suggested that I ask for volunteers
to stay on top of certain public policy areas, and then to keep the
NLA list up to date, for such areas as: federal adult education
legislation, welfare reform, federal or state ESOL legislation,
and others.

If yes, for which area(s) ?
5. In 1997, in response to certain messages sent to be posted,
I decided that the NLA list should not be used to air charges
against individuals or programs, whether justified or not. I did
not allow the posting of messages which made specific charges
against named or otherwise identified individuals, or programs.
I decided that the NLA list is not a suitable forum for making,
countering or defending these kinds of charges. I would be
interested to know if you agree with this policy.
