Hey folks - this is Joye Norris and I am the one "this" happened to a year or
so ago when I arrived at work and my boss said, "Hey, you're quoted on the
front page of a national newsletter!"

I was, by the way, not misquoted. What I WAS doing was asking questions,
philosophizing, etc., as some of us are prone to do, PARTICULARLY those of us
interested in the NLA list in the first place! I believe we should always be
questioning our purposes and directions and where better than on this list?
The problem is we think of it as internal - just as members of a particular
organization may grouse among themselves or question certain tactics or
decisions - but they are NOT criticizing the spirit and meaningfulness of
their work! They just want to do it better. I believe we should continue our
discussions on the NLA list. In the big picture, the quotes haven't happened
that often. If we feel compelled to be truly "radical," perhaps we could
direct that conversation to a particular person and not everyone on the list!
